I wish, I had known these facts about the IT industry, during my college days:
- It doesn’t matter which programming language you begin with. You might have to switch multiple languages in your career, based on the demand of your project.
- Software Engineering is much more than just coding.
- Soft skills will become more vital than technical skills as you move up the IT ladder.
- Learning will never stop. You must always remain up-to-date to stay in the ever-evolving IT industry.
- As you grow, you will start prioritizing better work culture over salary.
- Taking interviews is much more than just asking questions. Did I miss anything? Keep adding in the comment section.
- I wish I knew the difference between service-based companies and product-based companies.
- I wish I knew that the community in software development and networking matters a lot
- I wish I knew that everything is temporary not every job, project, and everything is permanent.
- I wish I knew that a few IT places have more job opportunities than the current ones in home-based.
- There are lots more differences between getting and giving an Interview job process in India and other countries.
- I wish I knew that a DSA is a crucial part of going into FAANG
- I wish I knew that others’ opinion matters for the career path to whom we are working.
